Beautiful high quality hand made Japanese bookcase
Solid hard wood, possibly teak or rosewood
Four shelves and two drawers

The history of this piece is unknown. The former owner believes it to be Japanese. By looking at the joints, fixings, back panel and dovetail drawer joints, this appears to be fairly old, possibly early 20th century. However the exact age and original can not be confirmed.
This is a high quality solid piece. There are a few knocks from use and age but these aren’t noticeable with its rustic design. I have rubbed down some the marks and scuffs and re oiled the whole piece. The back and side panels are a little warped but again this adds to its rustic appeal. There is a historical repair on the each side.
