About My Vintage Market
My Vintage Market is a small friendly business creating bespoke furniture and one off refinished pieces. I source and sell stunning vintage and antique items. I can help you find and create that perfect piece.
My Story
I am Louise, the face behind My Vintage Market. As a child I was always drawing and creating and was at my happiest with a paint brush in my hand. After leaving my career to raise a family, I took a change in direction, and in 2014, set up an eBay selling, decluttering and house clearance business, Trade My Clutter. The majority of this work involved vintage and antique items, furniture and collectables and reignited my passion for vintage and retro design. I dusted off my creative side which had been long neglected, and started refurbishing furniture as a sideline. In 2019 I decided to combine my hobby with my business and My Vintage Market was born!
My ethos is simple. Create with care, communicate with respect and always give my best. I am often approached by clients who are selling items following a bereavement, or looking for a piece for a special occasion or sentimental reason. Acting with empathy, kindness and integrity is my motto.
My clients are amazing. I have met so many interesting people with interesting stories. I have worked with individuals, businesses and charities. I have sold items to film sets, dignitaries and furnished French chateauxs. I love receiving positive feedback and seeing my bespoke pieces in their new homes, as well as swapping design ideas and inspiration.
I enjoy a road trip in my van with my dogs, sourcing new stock. Not only do I love the quirky, interesting items I find, but I also love to learn the story behind them. Every piece has a unique tale to be told!
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my children, my friends and my dogs.
