Six antique Edwardian mahogany and rosewood dinning chairs, carved, gold fabric
Set of six elegant traditional Edwardian dining chairs crafted from solid wood with upholstered seats, circa early 1900s.
Two distinct designs; two darker tone mahogany chairs which would make ideal carvers, perfect for head-of-the-table placement, and four lighter tone chairs, which appear to be rosewood.
Turned baluster legs at the front and fluted high backs with carved detail. Reupholstered a few years ago in a yellow gold fleur-de-lis fabric with replacement horsehair filling to maintain their original craftsmanship.
Dimensions:
4 matching chairs - 47cm wide x 51cm deep x 89cm high. Seat height 44cm
2 carvers - 46cm wide x 52cm deep x 95cm high. Seat height 44cm
The odd scuff on the wood as to be expected for their age, but this adds to their antique charm and can be minimised with oiling.
A couple of water marks on the seat cushions, see photos, and some of them are a little paler due to sun bleaching, please see photos.
Otherwise in very good condition. Strong and sturdy, no wobbles
