A rare mid century Robert Hornby sideboard cocktail cabinet, produced by Fyne Ladye Furniture for Heals. Mid 1960s, made from afromosia.
Sleek Danish style oozing with mid century appeal.
A double cupboard with cut out handles alongside four drawers with thick solid afromosia reeded fronts and cut out handles underneath. The top drawer is segmented for cutlery and lined in the original black felt. There are solid afromosia adjustable shelves in the cupboards and a pull out tray for preparing drinks!
The legs are made from solid afromosia as is the attractive bevelled edge around the top. The Fyne Ladye sticker is still in the drawer.
This piece has been refurbished. The top has been rubbed down and re-finished and the whole piece has been cleaned, oiled and polished. There are some minor marks to be expected for its age and the protruding edge on the right site has a historical repair/repaint. However, this is a quality sturdy piece in very good condition.
This is an iconic mid century piece in the signature Hornby design which was sought after and high end in the 1960s.
