Customer Commissioned Art Deco Shelf Unit

A returning client picked up this 1930’s oak shelf unit online and asked me to paint it to her specification. I loved the Art Deco shape and undulating sides. She asked me to colour match to her decor so I created a custom mix paint. I left the top sections natural to add contrast. I removed the old finish, oiled and polished to reveal a beautiful light oak. I added dark wax to the undulated section to emphasise the design. It looked great in my client’s living room.
