Blue and Gold Art Deco Cocktail Cabinet/Bureau

This piece was a big restoration job. It was in a very poor state when I bought it. It had previously got damp and the bottom trim was rotting. I had to do a total repair job by creating replacement pieces. I loved the zig zag grain effect on the doors so I restored them back to their natural state and waxed then polished. I painted in a beautiful rich Homestead Blue, added gold wax to the carved detail and gold leaf to the glass beading. Again I added contasting paper to the back of the display cupboards which looked stunning against the glass shelves. A massive job but worth the hard work.
